Basic Information:

Obtaining the skills assessment is a necessity for the General Skilled Migration visas such as subclass 189, 190 and 491 visa. However, for certain occupations, it may be difficult to meet some of the assessing criteria. Non-award accounting courses can be one of your alternatives to obtain the skills assessment.

Taking the non-award accounting courses, you may be able to obtain the skills assessment for the following occupations:

  • Accountant (General) – ANZSCO 221111
  • Taxation Accountant – ANZSCO 221113
  • External Auditor – ANZSCO 221213
  • Management Accountant – ANZSCO 221112
  • Finance Manager – ANZSCO 132211
  • Corporate Treasurer – ANZSCO 221212

The assessment criteria for the skills assessment of the above occupations:

  1. Hold a qualification equivalent to at least an Australian bachelor’s degree
  2. Successfully complete all mandatory competency areas related to the occupation
  3. Meet the English language proficiency requirement

With the non-award accounting courses, regardless of your education background, you will be able to satisfy the above Criterion 2.
